Thursday, September 12th 6:30-8:30pm
Join an interfaith panel consisting of Muslim, Jewish, Hindu, Buddhist and Christian representatives to address the different ways that their religious community has interacted with the state. The panel will answer questions such as: What are normative teachings in your tradition about separation of church and state? How has your religious community traditionally interacted with the state? How does this relationship play out in the United States today? What happens when your religious practices conflict with the state? What are some of both the challenges and benefits of religious communities’ relationship with the state or lack thereof? RSVP here.
